I'm  just curious to know if it's worth investing in one, given the fact that I use the drone mainly for photography. Thanks in  advance!

Polarizing filters can give ugly results on wideangle lenses. The effect of PL-filters is strongest when the sun is 90 degrees to the camera, and because of the wide angle you risk uneven effect of the filter.
This is often visible in the blue sky, part of it is dark blue and part of it much lighter. Not pretty.
