Anyone know about someone (dealer) who sells the copter only? Without the remote, battery, charger and case.
Wanted to buy a separate I1 body for backup.

Have you tried the DJI Store. You may have to change to the US store if you don't see the listing. Bird only from DJI $2100  

B&H sells it but it looks to be a special order.

I'm on the same page as you.
Just be aware it's a little overpriced having in mind you might need to purchase the gimbal/camera for another $600...
But then....once you're in the I1 wagon with dual remote and batteries...how to shift to another product, even though I am very tempted to do so?
