Although I know that DJI no longer supports the Mavic Air, I am curious if DJI has an answer to the following problem: My Mavic air suddenly misses a number of frames per second. I see this phenomenon as soon as the camera is active, so even without recording. The result is a choppy video. So it is very clear that it is not the SD card. Because, I dont use a card and if I don't record, the image also shakes when I move the drome. Again, I know that the Mavic Air is no longer supported, but I also think it's a shame to throw such a drone away. I would really like to find out which part is causing this problem. I'd still like to fix it. Below are a few examples.

The video below I made of the controller. the drone doesn't record, and I move the drone by hand. Even then the image is choppy.

If you try to write to the card or internal memory of the drone? Will there be the same jerks in the image? And if without a record, then I would try to change the smartphone (as an option for a more productive one). And one more thing: all programs running on the smartphone in the background must be turned off

I've already tried everything. The original files that I record indicate that frames are missing every second, and that happens before the images are recorded. To be clear: when I record I do that on the internal memory of the drone itself, so it has nothing to do with an SD card.

Changing the video settings (resolution and frame rate) does not affect frame dropping in any way?In general, here 2-3 years ago already someone posted about a similar problem. But I don't remember what was decided there.

I've tried all of that. It seems to be a problem with the camera itself. I was curious if DJI can indicate which part might be broken.

Hi, N-huis. Thank you for reaching out and for uploading the photos. Please do a gimbal calibration and refresh the firmware of the drone. Below are the details on how to do them:

Gimbal Calibration:
Open DJI Go 4 App > Click Go Fly > ••• (3 dots on the upper right side) > Gimbal Settings > Gimbal Auto Calibration.
Notes:
1. Make sure to remove the gimbal protector.
2. Check if the gimbal is stuck by a foreign object. If yes, please remove it.
3. Please restart the drone, and then let the drone on a level surface to calibrate. Don't touch the gimbal during calibration.
4. Has the drone ever fallen or crashed before this problem occurred? If so, please send it back to us for testing.

Firmware Refresh:
DJI Assistant 2 Download Link: https://www.dji.com/downloads/products/mavic-air
1) Connect the aircraft or remote controller to the computer with a USB cable and ensure that the computer is connected to the internet.
2) Run DJI Assistant 2, click the Login button in the upper right corner, log into the DJI account, and select Mavic Air. Please ensure that the battery level is greater than 50%.
3) Click "Firmware Upgrade" on the left to select the latest firmware version.
4) Click REFRESH FIRMWARE/UPGRADE. During the update, make sure that the computer is connected to the internet at all times. Do not disconnect the USB cable or exit the DJI Assistant 2 software.
5) After the update is complete, restart the aircraft.

Hope this helps. Please keep us posted. Thank you for your support.

I did all this but it didn't help. I just haven't calibrated the gimbal yet. But I don't think that's the problem since frames are always missing in the recordings.

Hi there. Thank you for your cooperation. Since the issue persists after following the recommended troubleshooting, I'm afraid that you may consider sending the unit in for a proper diagnosis.  You may submit an online repair request through this link: {https://repair.dji.com/repair/index}. If you need assistance with creating a ticket, you may contact DJI support at https://www.dji.com/support. We understand that this is not the answer that you look forward to, but this would be the best thing to do in this situation. In addition, warranty service can be claimed depending on the result of the Damage Assessment. Your kind understanding is appreciated and thank you for your continued support.
