White Castle.....

I cant compete with the amount of snow that @Blériot53 has currently got, but I can raise the stakes and add a Castle to the mix.

Great shot DA.    Glad to see the castle finally got a little dusting of snow.

Were you able to get in several flights this morning?  I see you are so close to breaking the 55M feet barrier.

Thanks DT,  that was just the frost this morning,  it was very heavy. even the road here is still white.

I flew a couple of batteries but the Mini3 id playing up,    when flying in a straight line its twisting on itself and when you stop it yaws to correct it.   Mr B mentioned he had some similar behaviour.    Ive refreshed the firmware and will head out in a bit to test it.

That was just frost,  the roads here were all while this morning,  and any bits still in shadow still are.

No it didnt.  But I have got an idea that it is the cold.    I did a few runs to test it and found it was very repeatable.  I landed re calibrated the compass etc,  re did those runs with no improvement.   I checked the battery temp and it as 12c.   I did a few runs in sports mode,  full stick and got the battery temp up to 30c.  I then switched back to normal mode and re did some of those runs again and it was perfect.   

I landed popped in a new cold battery and we were back to the same issue until I warmed it up in sports mode again.   On the last battery I was going to checkout a landmark but the controller battery went into panic on me,  now that was only charged yesterday so I would normally get longer out of it so I think the cold is not helping.

I even wore gloves yesterday - except for the brief 15 minute flight.

My very first thought when I read the title: "You mean, like the fast food franchise?"

My very first thought when I saw the picture: "The Winter Is Coming" - even if I haven't watched Game Of Thrones

It is quite a beautiful picture, with that frosty aesthetic

Ive got touch screen compatible gloves but if it gets too cold they dont work well so I just wear the left one.

The last update fixed a bug in the flight centre but there are loads of review videos on it making  out its special.  One in particular implies its a drone update.

At the moment you have to do the entire firmware and not just the app,  the smart controller you can just update the app on its own.  

But there is another server that is currently down so if I update I cant patch it.
