A few people complain to loose their drone after battery ejection and a "hard crash".
Some do add a beeper which triggers in case of crash.

I have choosen another approach : adding a GPS tracker to the Avata.

• As you can see it is a simple addon 3d printed self powered and which "clips" on the frame without glue nor screws.
• It is acting as a "remoteID" beacon and in fact it is an homologated French remoteID system.
• You can do it yourself with off the shelf components and for cheap.

GPS is under the ESP32. All this is powered by a scavaged lipo battery from a disposable e-cigarette.
The battery can be charged using the USB port of the ESP32 board.
