The last visit to view progress was hampered by unsuitable flying weather, and I was obliged to make do with terrestrial shots from the Pocket2So I returned on Wednesday in sunshine to get a drone's eye view.  The sounds of Pile-driving were echoing around the valley.

That gives a nice overview.

Yeah, that is what I like to do too.

Great shots.   So they seem to be re engineering the primary spill way and the secondary spillway repairs are left to last.

It's a massive undertaking. They were pil-driving where you can see the JCB, at the time.
I think the half-moon outline on the inner slope of the dam wall might be were the original slippage occured.  There's a lot more work to be done yet, before completion.

At the time, it was a major disaster narrowly averted. And it caused chaos in the village for months. Only a few hundred yards from the railway bridge at the centre of the latest chaos.

That's some job going on there Bleriot, you've got your work cut out for you.

I knew someone that worked on the railway repairs and installations and he was the pr guy,    when people complained about noise and stuff he would go out to appease them,  if it was genuine there was all sorts he could offer including tickets to Paris on Eurostar.
