I have the exact same audio issues as the OP.

Have tried well known working microphones (purple panda, and now a saromonic) and the audio is disorted heavily.

Soon as I am moving on the bike, it starts distorting and makes the audio unusable.

Do we just give up using external mics on the DJI Action 3?

I am struggling with my DJI MIC 2 connected to Insta 360 Ace Pro via Bluetooth and a Rode 2 lav mic plugged into the Mic 2. Tried multiple locations inside the helmet including cheek pad and inside the ear pad. Sounds wonderful with visor open but becomes a distorted mess with visor closed. Since I only have the Mic 2 transmitter, I have set gain on the Ace Pro camera at the lowest of -18db with marginal difference in results. So frustrated as I don't want to go to the DJI OM 5 pr plug anything into the Ace Pro as weather proofing is important for me. Please help!
