Anyone know if it's possible to connect bluetooth headsets to the RC Plus for recording internally onto disk while recording video stream?

I am using a very old USB to audio headset adapter and it is working fine.

While testing a Bluetooth device lying around, I found that the battery was dead.

Have you tried connecting a device?
