Hi folks, just done a screen recording with this RC Pro and i can view the videos in all MS viewers including Movie Maker, but i cannot import it in to Premiere Pro 2022 or 2021 nor will VLC open it, it just shuts down. I have followed a few bits of advice like clearing the cache, making sure there's enough memory, disabling h264 accelerated or whatever it was and all that i have tried has not worked. Has anyone else had this issue? its a importer:39 error.

Premiere Pro and VLC both working without problems here. Windows 10, Intel Core i9-9900, Nvidia RTX3090. No additional Codecs.

Do you use the correct driver for your GPU?

If this fixes your problem it probably is your GPU driver, that does not work as intended.

Hi, thanks for the video, sadly no, that doesn't resolve it, also, that one is error 5, mine is error 39, not sure if that makes any difference.

I have 2 gpu's in this aging HP lappy, there's the on board intel, that one does have a driver issue with PP, it always has had, and then there is the NVidia GPU, which works ok. Even with that Intel GPU issue, i haven't come across an import issue before, 4k the lot.

Im not sure whats going on with the video from the screen recording thats different. I will update my codecs and see if that does anything.

I have managed to get it working by using Shutter Encoder, so there's that i supposed but i will try the codecs before ei resor to using something like AZ Screen Recorder instead, thanks again.

Furthermore, tried updating the codecs, using the full pack and made no difference, however, just rewrapping it using, Shutter Encoder, works a treat , all that i can see that changes in the details is the FPS just up from 50 to 51, everything else is the same, weird...

I had this the other day with the DJI RC,  I found that running the files through Handbrake recoded them to a more standard format.

Sods law, there an error grabbing the MPEG-2 app on there end, i have the other one already, I'm just grabbing a later version of PP so will see what that does...

I cant say. I dont normally screen record and the other day when I did nothing would touch it,   the mp4 even crashed one player I tried but I ran it through handbrake (my goto free video convertor) and that solved the issue for me.

I could ply it on WMP and the latest player with Win 11 but not with VLC, that would crash, i don't know what DJI have done that would cause this...

Looking at the get info it shows -

MPEG-4 AAC, HEVC

HEVC = h265,   but in an MP4 container thats not usually very compatible.   You could  film in this format in the Mini3 when it first came out and it was terrible to process

AH, i didnt notice that it was a h.265, although that shouldn't be a problem, i don't think, Adobe Premiere Pro 2023 should be compatible, thats what I've just installed and still no go... :/

EDIT: scrub that last part, I recorded a new one today and thats now working in PP 2023

I record all drone footage in H.265. It saves space and the PC can handle it fast enough. Rendering times are faster than realtime, even in 4K.

I just edited my last reply, i have today's new recording now working in PP 2023
