There certainly are use cases where the Action 2 will be a better fit. It's a case of "different tools for different jobs" :-)

I myself have an action cam too, thought it's a very basic one (it doesn't even have a display on it and it's only splash-resistant) that I got with a special edition of a video game I bought. Hasn't seen much use, I'm not much of an action person. So Pocket 2 is more of my style. But I am sure that the Action 2 is way more versatile than my action cam, and you will certainly make good use of it :-)

I'll be eager to see what you will come up with it. And I'll have to say that it's great that you don't need to be so afraid of rain with it. With the Pocket 2, I am always a bit cautious in those occurrences, part of the reason why I got the water-proof case for it :-)

I'm hoping for decent weather when I use it in earnest for the first time. But that's some time away yet. I'm hoping to be proficient with it by then.
