And it is obviously a fake.

Interesting video  you found DA.    That is quite the unique design.  It will be interesting to see how much DJI changes up the Mini 3 Pro design when they release the Mini 4 version.  

Looks really cool.

Its kinda a neat idea,but not real.

Kinda off a neat design,however a major weakspot is the mounting point for the two arm system.The single arm design going into the body shell would crack and break in time.

I doubt this is real but when the first leaks about the Mini 3 Pro started showing up we all called it a Frog design and said no way this will come and it did, maybe there is some truth but only time will tell. You never know with Dji. Where there is smoke...........

I wonder if there is a mechanism to make sure you extend the arms out far enough so the props dont hit the body.

Good question.  I'm sure the design will change between concept and actual release.

Could well be a concept,   one of the big manufactures I worked for would do concepts to judge peoples reactions to the designs,  it also served as the start of a design language for a few years worth of product.    Some concepts were shown at shows and others selectively leaked out.

That's a great way to "test the waters" so to say.  I don't dislike the rendered design but it is quite the departure from the existing Mini 3 Pro.  As a manufacturer you do have to keep evolving and moving forward so will be interesting to see what appears around 3rd quarter.

Didn't really watch the video but it certainly looks like an interesting design to me. It'll be more interesting to see what its flight characteristics are like; compared to the usual 4 arm layout.

As long as they are stiff enough they should be un noticed.,  And the pusher propers can be unto 15% more efficient.

That's very true.  Can't sit back on your past accomplishments.  Always need to be moving forward.  Unfortunately, they really don't have any close competition at this point.

On a separate note it appears that Skydio has been leaning more into the commercial drone field as there is greater profitability there.  Lots of unhappy Skydio pilots with the lack of Customer Service Support from Skydio recently.

The company I last worked for would create concepts of products that they would sure focus groups to judge the feedback,  and sometimes they would leak them to get a less bias feel for it.
