Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. We totally understand your expertise in drones however, we don't have any guarantee that this will work normally as we don't recommend DIY configuration on the unit. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Seems like it could be done. OriginaldoBo did it with C157 motors and made a huge difference.

Indeed, impromptu buy FPV combo arrives today LOL, love that speed, might order a replacement right arm, then i’ll have two FPV, wonder if i can swap the camera from avata to FPV… so many spare parts lol

That should work unless a software or firmware update is required to make it viable.
If you swap in more powerful motors you will probably encounter:
- ESC electronics get hotter
- battery voltage drops more under load
- undervoltage drop out of flight controller may happen with drone dropping to the ground (especially worse at lower temps)
- battery cell voltage might drop under the minimum LiIon cell voltage which can damage the cells immediately, cells may develop gas or even fire
The system battery + ESC + motors are well balanced by DJI. Altering components for higher power output will probably pose some problems.

basically all of the above, solution is build BNF lol
