It was all going so well too.  That damage does look pretty terminal.

When it is all said and done, and it hurts a little less, I would love to learn what you learned and what if anything you would do different.  I have had my drone swooped on by various birds, but honestly, I'm not sure  what the best course of action is when that happens.

From advice I have been getting it seems that I should have ascended instead of descending when the Bird came in. What I need to learn is to not panic but its hard when you seeing a $4800NZD toy about to get carried away

Yes.  I am not sure I would do any better.  : )  Totally get it.  Well, given how many flights you have done and how much you drone, maybe this was inevitable.  I think you are going to roll over the counter on DJI's "flight distance flown".

Impressive video right up until the end Suren.    I'm thinking that is going to be more or a replacement vice a repair but only DJI can make that determination.

Yup, drone was very stable. Hopefully when Dji sends a new one, I can bind the Care Refresh that I just bought but did not bind.

Yeah, probably cheaper for them to just send a replacement.

A back can only take so much abuse.  Hopefully you can get some rest and recovery!

Once in a while I think about starting a drone themed youtube channel, but rather than product reviews, or comedy, or product advice, I could just complain about things.  SDK's, crashes, etc.

Anyways the new baby arrived home today and has the OVAL Tele Lens which many, including myself have discussed for a while and I must say it performs much better than my previous Mavic 3. This drone tele lens is amazing and I never knew that this camera could be so handy, my previous one after 7x zoom made things look almost bad but this drone keeps it crisp right up to 20x. Drone manufacture date is 01/2023. OA sensors behave  better, no abrupt stopping in bypass mode, very smooth, 4G signal is much stronger, range in CE is solid as well. Overall a much better drone than my previous one built in November 2021.

There is a good chance DJI has changed the hardware from the Mavic 3 without say anything trying fixing problems with their first batch. Will be interesting to see the inside hardware from the last baches comparing the old ones.
