I actually need to go out plowing again today, we got a lot of snow this time.
Just thinking about some new camera angles since my plowing videos gives good amount of views.

I think it all depend of content. I see some big channels posting more often and do great, and some others not so good at all.

Yeah, you are really at the mercy of the YT algorithm.
And that is very bad for smaller channels. They just don't get pushed at all.
I have done some testing and I rarely see smaller channels being recommended.
Most of the recommended video's in  my feed have at least 5.000 views. (most have  a lot more)
And even when you do a search for a subject, they give the 'popularity' a higher ranking than the search terms.
Only if you sort the results by uploaddate you seem to get to see more search related results.
And even then, YT hides a lot of content based on their allmighty algorithm.

Yes this is sad for smaller channels.
I think the algorithm have changed a bit, because I often get videos from smaller channels with less than 1K subs. It could be from my search and watch history, since I have been searching for OA3 a lot since autumn and almost weekly.

When I search for a products I always go by date so I doesn't have to watch all paid reviews etc.

It might have changed now. I had a couple of searches that really showed how it worked. But I will try again and see if it is changing.

And even worse is those that need to make a 20 min video where they only show 2 min with footage when it is about a camera. And more than 4 min with just I woke up got a coffee etc.

I have blocked those creators long time ago.
My time is valuable.
If they don't have an index, I usually don't bother. (unless I'm really curious)
If they don't get to the point, I usually skip.
I have not time to listen to people rambling about. Just tell what you want to tell and show what you want to show.

There are very few ones that seem to keep my interest. Mostly because they combine a good voice with great footage, nice projects and lots of good humor.
But none are pure vloggers, they just tell stuff while they show stuff. Usually making things.

There is only a few paid I watch videos from, Young360 is one of them.

I can imagine. They have specific channels. Some are music (gear) related, some building related.

Ah.. I did only mention camera gear channels here.

Then I have a bunch of different genere and channels I watch regularly. Some bigger travel channels, some working like Andrew Katamarata (or how he spell his name) and a bunch more that I can't remember now.

I'm mainly interested in making music and DIY stuff when it comes to youtube.
Unless I'm in the market for a new camera or some camera gear, then I do watch a lot.

Since I am passioned about photography and later videography, I watch all the new gears that come out and dream about getting new cameras etc. all time even if I have plenty and good enough for all my uses
If I had a garage/workshop then I would watched videos about all of that kind from welding to wood work.
But now I mostly planning my next videos or pictures, and actually my plan today if weather get nicer is to drive at mountain and take some pictures that I want to have on my wall with snow covered tree/ground or something. And also maybe fly with drone and make videos at that trip.
Just waiting to see if it will be warmer soon.

What kind of music do you make? You make on your computer or combined with real instruments etc?
I know some people that make all kind of music, mostly on computers.

I do both.
I'm playing in a band and also making my own music.
The last part is mainly used for videos as backing tracks.
