Hello All,

Well, my Matrice 100 came in a couple of days ago.  Definitely well built.

First issue - no instruction manual on assembly.  Fortunately there are videos posted online, so I was in the able to assemble the unit.  I later found the User Manual online

Then came the first attempt at first flight - a no go.

* I am able to turn on the remote control (unit is fully charged) and I am able to turn on the Matrice.  The vehicle and the controller seem to be communicating with each other - the light on the Matrice flashes a steady green.
* I did hook up my iPad Air 2 via USB-Lightning to the controller however they are not communicating.
* DJI Go nor the free GS (ground station software) are able to communicate with the controller.
* RTH status light never lights up.
* The controller have no effect on the Matrice...

So as of right now the unit is a pretty, but unflyable UAS.

Any advice on how to make this vehicle work and fly would be greatly appreciated...
UPDATE - SHE NOW FLIES! Whew!

Best Regards,
Andrew

Hello All,

A quick update - the Matrice 100 now flies!

New steps to getting things started:
* First hook up iPad Air 2 (or iPhone 6).
* Start the DJI GO app
* Turn on the controller
* Turn on the aircraft

-- all units begin to talk with each other!

The app did note to update the firmware - it was a fast and easy process with a couple of click of the buttons.

Once done I went to training/beginner mode and she worked! Whew!

Of course now the winds have picked up, so no more flights for the day.  I will be keeping a blog on the unit soon and lessons learned.  Stay tuned!

Best Regards,
Andrew
