Strange light at dusk this evening. Played around with the EV setting (-1.7) on the Mini3Pro to make this attempt.

What a great view to end the day on.

It's all about the practice and the luck of nature.    If it helps I find blue hour easier than sunset.  Mind you the purples this morning didnt capture as well as the eye could see.

Mother Nature can be "freakish" when she wants to.  Hopefully, you'll see some nice flying weather soon.  If not take advantage of getting used to the Action 2 camera.

Working on it as we speak   (Still charging).

The contrast between the darkness and the brightness sure makes it look dramatic :-)

Turning down the EV to -1.7 did that.

Have read many reviews on the Action 2 and they seem to be a mix of really like or dislike not much in the middle.  So I'm interested in getting your take after you have a chance to put it through it's paces.

I did read where a few people were concerned about the strength of the magnet.  I had originally contemplated getting one to use while scuba diving but at the time there were lots of complaints about overheating.  I decided to go with a GoPro 11 because they make a really nice waterproof case and no reports of overheating while being used for scuba diving.

And despite using the Rocksteady feature setting, recording video whilst walking results in really poor footage. It's fine when you're standing still, but when moving it's far worse than the pocket 2 for showing up vibration.  Not really what I was expecting from something touted as an Action Cam

I've come to the conclusion that carrying it on a  lanyard around the neck is a complete waste of time. As soon as you begin to move, whatever setting is selected, the jerkiness renders the resulting footage unuseable. Pretty poor

Like they say in baseball, that is Strike 1.  Shame you can't use it on a lanyard around the neck.

Someone suggested the GoPro chest harness. But having looked at it, it's bulky and requires all kinds of extra fittings.  Not exactly a lightweight carry for a city walk. Worn externally it looks like a parachute harness.  Far from discrete.

It is nice that GoPro offers so many ways to mount/carry their cameras.  However, I've seen that chest mount and it does resemble a parachute harness.  Wearing that would be like wearing a sign that says LOOK AT ME.  I'm sure it would work well if you are mountain biking or something similar and needed to have both hands free but not good for a normal walk.
