3 Big Updates on the DJI Wireless Mic - Firmware v02.00.72.87

Nice find DA.    That solves the main gripe I had about the DJI MIC - the LEDs always on.  I need to get it out and do a firmware update.  My grandson used it for one of his school projects and he also said having the lights on continuously was distracting to people being interviewed.

Some black electrical tape would have also worked.

Leave it up to you to come up with a quick and easy fix.  

It's an okay update, just waiting if there will be a follow-up coming. What I would wish the most would be a direct USB-C connection support for the Pocket 2.

I'm afraid that might be true, though I see no sense in denying the Pocket 2 of it's updates, as the news concerning the release of the Pocket 3 are nowhere to be seen. The original leak stated that it was due to november, and it was a plausible theory, as that was about the same length of time between the releases of Osmo Pocket and Pocket 2, and also because some of the items menitoned on the same list did appear as predicted. And now it's already February. I would think it would benefit them to get the money from the Pocket 2 as long as possible, and tempting the buyers by giving frequent updates would make the buy harder to resist (of course, if the updates really made the thing better).

Ive become over the years to be the go to guy for repairing things,   it got so bad at one point that I had to get off social media and chat apps as I would forever get asked to help with something,   It get tiring after a while.

Now that you mention it, you have a good point there. My brothers and my father have both the skills and the same problem with it. They too can get quite tired about it occasionally.
