i have DJI FPV Air Unit.  i have activated air unit and updated firmware to newest version using the DJI Assistant 2 (DJI FPV Series) app.  Air Unit powers up and binding light goes from a dim green/orange to a solid bright green.  when i push the binding button (one short push), the light turns solid red and stays red.  i have DJI FPV Goggles 2 in binding mode with the beeping sound.  DJI FPV Air Unit bind light never changes from solid red.
Do you need to push binding button on DJI FPV Air Unit once quickly to go into binding mode?
what color should DJI FPV Air Unit binding light be when in binding mode?

You may refer to the tutorial below on how to properly link your DJI FPV components (RC and Goggles) to your DJI Air unit. In addition, on your DJI FPV Goggles, go to Menu > Settings > About > on the very bottom switch the DJI FPV to DJI Digital FPV System. Please keep us posted. Thank you.

My DJI FPV Goggles V2 are set to DJI Digital FPV System and the DJI FPV Goggles V2 are on firmware v 01.00.0607.  
My DJI FPV Air Unit is on firmware v 01.01.0000
both the goggles and the DJI FPV Air Unit are in binding mode.  Goggles are beeping, Air Unit light went from green to red when binding button pushed.
the devices never bind.  goggles keep beeping, binding light stays red.

help?

will experiment with downgrading firmware versions and post what i find.

Hey, did you ever figure this out. I have the exact same setup and problem. Air unit is staying on solid red and goggles keep beeping in binding mode.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Before you start linking the devices, make sure that all of them have the latest firmware updates.

Air Unit + Goggles

1. Power on the air unit and goggles.

2. Press the link button on the air unit when the linking status indicator is solid green. The indicator is solid red when the air unit is ready to link.

3. Press the link button on the goggles. They will start to beep continually.

4. Make sure the distance between the air unit and the goggles is within 2 m. When linking is successful, the linking status indicator of the air unit turns solid green, the goggles stop beeping, and the live view will be displayed.

If the issue continues, it is necessary to provide a video recording for us to thoroughly investigate the matter. Thank you.

Just a note. I live in the USA. I have 3 DJI FPV drones, all 3 bought and activated years ago. All 3 are exactly the way they came out of the box. NO UPGRADES, and NO PROBLEMS. I have no idea what versions are on them, as I have never connected them to anything, since activating. There's an old saying, "If it works, don't fix it" All these upgrades and different versions, are all a bunch of complicated BS, as far as I'm concerned. Just sayin, that's all.
