My goodness, no!  But I think he's relatively OK in the UK inshore waters

Believe it or not I've spotted several smaller sharks (3-4") in fresh water inlets leading to the ocean.  For the most part I've found sharks to be more inquisitive than downright aggressive.  However, when diving I'm always prepared to defend myself from the sharks if needed.

Yeah, I'd say you'd be safe from sharks while walking along the canal.

Its a safety boat so he's primed to go in.

They usually have two or three out with them,  then if the group splits up they spread out.    They usually seem quite chorographed.

Definitely not a safe thing to do.  I do a lot of scuba diving and I find for the most part sharks are just super inquisitive but they can also get vicious rather quickly.  That's why I always carry a spear gun and a large knife.  Usually a bump on the nose persuades them to leave and if not then I always have the spear to turn to.  However, if you spear them then it is time to get out of that area quickly because the blood draws lots of other hungry sharks very fast.  So spearing is a last resort.
