Out for a sail..........


Had a little fun yesterday on walk number 2 trying to capture these sail boats and promised @Blériot53 a share,   sadly they all went in shortly after I arrived for lunch we presaume.

It was perfect for sailing. Wind on the beam, and some sun.    Although it could have been warmer.

Besides the temp that was a perfect sailing day.    On days like that you just have to suit up and take advantage of that opportunity.

I just wish Id got there earlier,  but then I was pusing my luck getting SHMBOd to do 2x 4 mile walks in one day.

Dang, you're going to make a daily walker out of her yet.  

I took a short walk around a part of my perimeter fence yesterday.  I was curious to see the size of the hole that the puddle filled that I ran over and caused the ATV to flip over.  It was much bigger and deeper than I thought it would be.  By the way, I do have a guy coming over with his bobcat to smooth out the entire perimeter road.  He told me if I would pay for the fuel for his bobcat and let him dive on a couple of ships with me (when I'm up to it) he'd call it even.  I couldn't find a better deal than that.  Found out he goes to the same church as I do.  Small world after all.

He seems like a nice guy.  Says he's been diving a lot on his own (which is not the safest thing to do).  He's always wanted to dive on a sunken ship but didn't know where to locate them.  I told him I could take him to some sunken ships that date back to the late 1700s and he was ecstatic.

Unfortunately, I did not make it all the way around to the back of my property which is where I put the deer feeder.  Two weekends ago my grandson checked for me and he was lots of fresh tracks but no deer.

It is a shame.  I need to get some really good quality trail cams to replace the ones that got stolen.  On the advice of the Wildlife Manager I'm only having food put out bi-weekly.  My next to youngest grandson really likes doing that chore so he comes over with my daughter every other weekend.  I'm hoping one weekend he'll finally get to see some of the deer and not just paw prints.

They really are amazing animals.  You're right as they are very skittish at the sight of a human and probably for good reason.
