Removing and Attaching Gimbal Protector
[Important] Remove the gimbal protector before powering on the drone.
· When powering on the drone, the gimbal will perform self-check*. If the gimbal protector is not removed, the motor may be damaged and the service life will be affected, or even damage the gimbal and impact the flight safety after takeoff.
· Protect your DJI Mini 2 SE gimbal and camera with this protector, and it is recommended to attach the gimbal protector during daily storage or carrying outdoors.
* If the drone is powered on without activation, the gimbal will not rotate and run self-check.
· Removing the Gimbal Protector

Replacing the Propellers
As we all know, there are two types of propeller/motor: CW and CCW, and you can easily recognize it through the mark on it. Before mounting the propeller, better confirm the mark on each first.
DJI Mini 2 SE has been installed with propellers before leaving the factory. In case of a propeller replacement, please refer to the steps below.
· Distinguishing between Propellers
If the propeller is mounted in an improper way, the drone cannot take off.
① Propeller CW
② Propeller CCW

· Attaching or Replacing the Propellers
Step 1: Place the drone horizontally and make sure that the drone's camera faces forwards;
Step 2: Tighten the propellers with a mark onto the motors using the provided screwdriver.
Step 3: Tighten the propellers without a mark onto the remaining motors.

Charging Duration
· Charging the aircraft
The battery can be fully charged in about 1 hour and 22 minutes by a charger with a maximum charging power of 18 W.
· Charging a Remote Controller
The battery can be fully charged in about 3 hours and 30 minutes by a charger with a maximum charging power of 10 W.

Battery Maintenance
1. If a battery will not be used for 10 days or longer, discharge it to 40%-65% state of charge (until LED 3 lights up or blinks) for storage.
2. Charge and discharge the battery about every three months to maintain good conditions of the battery and extend lifetime of the battery. If the battery is stored after completely drained, it may over-discharge and be damaged.
3. Always store Intelligent Flight Batteries in a well-ventilated place.
4. The battery will enter Hibernation mode if depleted and stored for a long period of time. Recharge the battery to bring it out of Hibernation mode.

Tips for Flight Safety
Please fly your drone in a safe environment, and strictly abide by local laws and regulations. Before a takeoff, have a glance at the nearby restricted and GEO zones. Click to learn more What Are GEO and Restricted Zones?
To determine whether you’ll need to unlock an area before flying there, start by checking: Check GEO Zone.

Environmental Consideration
1.  For safety reasons, you should never fly above people, animals, or moving vehicles: Flight Safety Guidelines
2.  Minimize interference by avoiding areas with tall and dense buildings that may affect the signals between remote controller and aircraft. The performance of the aircraft is limited when flying at high altitudes. The maximum flight height of the aircraft is 500 m. For the maximum flight distance, please refer to the Specifications in the DJI’s official website.
Beginner pilots should not be able to fly very far, and please always fly in open areas and keep your drone within line of sight. Mastering flight skills can result in better control, increased confidence, and an overall safer flight in any location.
Click Altitude and Distance Limit to know more.

Flight Safety

Pre-flight Checklist
1. Make sure that the propellers are mounted properly. Check whether the propellers are broken or bent, and whether all the propellers are unfolded.
2. Remove the gimbal protector before powering on the drone and make sure that the battery is mounted in place (a click can be heard).
3. After the device is powered on and connected, check whether there are any warnings shown in the app. If yes, follow on-screen instructions and fly the drone after no warnings are detected.
* The vision systems cannot work properly in any of the following situations:
a) Flying over extremely dark surfaces, water or transparent surfaces, monochrome surfaces, or surfaces without clear patterns or texture;
b) Flying over obstacles with small surface areas (e.g., tree branches).
