Reading all the specs, i believw that it should have been called:

DJI Mini SE 2 (better than the Mini but not quite the Mini 2).

Hi, djiuser_mB6sEMRJFUkD. Thank you for your feedback. The DJI Mini 2 SE has almost the same specs as the DJI Mini 2 instead of the Mini SE. The DJI Mini 2 and DJI Mini 2 SE are using the same image transmission which is  Ocusync 2.0 while DJI Mini SE is using a Wi-Fi transmission. Since they have the same image transmission, the max transmission distance of Mini 2 SE is 10km as well. Mini 2 SE also has Panorama (Sphere, 180, Wide Angle) and Boomerang for Quickshots which are not present in Mini SE. In addition, the SE stands for Special Edition does not necessarily mean an upgrade, it's an extra edition or new version of something that differs from the previous version. Hope this helps to clarify why it's named after Mini 2. Thank you for your support.

I agree that the 2SE is a 4K-less version of Mini 2, but the use of "SE" will cause DJI headaches. The Mini SE was a modernized Mavic Mini 1, with newer batteries. The Mini 2 SE should be called something different, like SV, but too late, now. Even the use of Mavic is confusing in this series.

I think the meaning of SE is Standard Edition not Special Edition
