For the second year running, the Mairie of my former village has selected a frame from a drone video of mine as the cover photo for their annual Bulletin Municipal

Congratulations, it is a very nice picture so no wonder they chose it

Reprinting and scanning mean it's not quite as good as the original,  but I'm pleased they liked it

If the commission, project, view calls for it, my own inclination after the main flying is to return and shoot stills at 4K. This because I always film at 120fps slow motion at least - and that is 1080. But then of course client knows best and off they go and grab something my stills didnt cover.

Thanks mate.  Before leaving there, I did them a few videos of the area, using the drone.
Told them they were free to do what they liked with them, as there was obviously no Copyright, since they were amateur videos and not commercial.
For last year's Bulletin they took a still from the centre of the village. And I just got a copy of this year's through the post this morning, showing a cover page shot from the outskirts of the village.
Nice of them to keep me in touch, even though I no longer live there.

Not really. I just gave them everything I'd done around the area, and said they were free to do with them as they wished.  I wasn't expecting a second front page this year
