Hi,

I bought Mavic 3 Classic and have been trying to learn the ropes the last two days, however, I cannot find where to turn off auxiliary lights on my RC.
It's supposed to be in Safety tab, right below Battery info.

Am I missing something? Have they removed it with the latest patch? Is it Mavic 3 feature only?

The removal of user control over the auxiliary landing LED is a C1 specific regulation applicable only to the EU. This means that it's in auto mode all the time.

I'm in the US and bought a Mavic 3T here in the US. I also have no option to map the Aux light to any buttons on my RC Pro.

Thanks for the reply. Does that mean the feature will be enabled as soon as I leave the EU?

I guess if you bought the drone in the EU and use the latest firmware update then it's permanent.

I've read somewhere that users in the US still have the on/off option on the original Mavic 3. Maybe someone can confirm?

The light is mapped to C2 by default. It cycles through Auto, On, Off on my 2S, not sure about the 3T. Is the software switch under the Safety Tab like the Fly app?

To set the Bottom Auxillary Light, tap “…” on the top-right corner of the Camera View, and go to “General Settings -> LED Settings -> Bottom Auxiliary Light” for setting. That's a bummer, not everyone lives nor flies in the EU. It's not a deal breaker for me but I definitely mind it much more than speed lock.
What can I say, I guess it was a price to pay to get that C1 sticker on it.

Yes. That part of the App works. But there is no button mapping option. Is this planned in future updates?And what about spotlight and tracking as well? I expected the Mavic 3 Enterprise to be an upgrade over the Mavic 3. Thanks.

Same here. In US. Mavic 3 enterprise Thermal. I now can no longer use my $1500 search light that activated via infrared with aux lights. I also am a search and rescue pilot. Lights being able to be turned on was huge. Come on DJI! We all spent a ton of money on these drones. I also have a matrice m300. I have $100,000 US almost sunk into that with cameras and sensors. Is it gone on that firmware as well? Checking now.  Fix this! If it's an issue in Europe ok. Have location based options in firmware. You do it with the garbage "zones" and no fly zones. Why can't you do it with this???

I am all for bringing back that option, if somehow possible, DJI
Don't really feel like paying another €200 for lume cubes, especially since I feel I already paid light switch when I was buying my drone

Dear DJI, please reconsider to introduce AuxLight on manual.

I swear I saw a setting for the M3C and the Aux light. I know I can turn it off and on via C2. I know I saw it under the Safety window.in the US version.

Received dji mavic 3t 2 weeks ago...april ?15th approx. 2023...tundra 10000 lum light 4.26.23....it seems that there is no option to activate Aux light on and off ti make the tundra work...if there is a solution eager to learn of it or next week tundra will be returned...disappointed to say the least..

Hi, is there a way to map this to one of the C1, C2, C3 buttons. When screen recording it takes up most of the screen.

You cant also drive faster than 140km/h  on Polish roads, by my car has no electronic limit forced.  Are they freaked out of dropping grenades on the EU parliament?...
But what about sensors? Also EU prohibits me from manually deciding if I want to fly with or without them?

I turn on/off the aux light on my Mavic 3
By setting the aux light options for the Fn Button found under the control tab options and scroll down until you find the FN button options . there you can also set the Mavic3 for Cruise control,FPV,AUX Light etc.
this way when in flight you can use the Fn Button to turn off or on the aux light ,cruse control FPV, etc..

at least I have that option on my Drone. I do livein the USA though
and I may hold off on the next firmware & fly app update if DJI is goiing make me have the aux light on all the time when flying at night . as that would be a mess with night fliming

I want to put on a light, not to put off.
It is absurd, it is really absurd. I buyed the drone and now I cant use it features.

Unfortunately the Auto Mode for Aux Light is not working well at all during the night. Sometimes it works, sometimes don't.

I agree that the automatic function imposed by EU cannot be turned off. I also agree that it must be turned on during takeoff or landing in case of poor ambient light visibility.
But I'm also of the opinion that it should be turned on as an aid to flight safety. Like turning on the headlights on the highway even during the day increases the visibility of your vehicle.
So where did safety and all the safety rules that are studied with the A2 license go? Please consider these choices carefully.
Lights and auxiliary lights improve safety!

I don't understand how the aux light must be mandatory on in EU. Some drones don't even have this light, what happens to those then?
The operator / pilot in command should have the control on what to do and take the appropriate responsibility.
My US based Mavic Air 2S, FPB, Mavic Pro all have the ability to turn the light off and on.

I have a Martrice 30t. My light and speaker have been working great then the last couple times took several times of connecting and reconnect to get it to sync with the remote. Then last night I never could get it to. When I plug it in it is getting power cause light moves and beeps. But never gives me the icon on remote. Thanks for any help
