Yes. More to follow. I couldn't deploy the drone, it was too windy.

The CEGB logo is Central Electricity Generating Board, if I remember correctly. No doubt the former owners of the engine.

Man, I bet he will enjoy that half-term trip.    

It's been so long since I was stationed at the American Embassy in London that I've forgotten how long the school year is there.  Here in runs from late August through mid May.  They usually get a 2 week break for Christmas/New Years and then a 1 week break in March for what they call Spring Break.  Of course Spring Break is when the beaches are packed with school kids, especially college age kids.

It was very dull yesterday so the video isn't brilliant. I'll do it again on Wednesday (if the weather is better)

Great image, thanks for sharing. I have somewhere a print from the 1970s of myself driving a steam locomotive that was fetched from Central America and restored by a guy who was stationed there . He had a fee miles of track laid on his large property in rural Oregon, and enjoyed treating guests to rides. He gave me quick primer on operation and, as they say in the UK, "Bob's your uncle".

Hopefully I will receive my Pocket 2 tomorrow. At least according to the latest tracking update, it already has arrived to Finland and will soon travel from Tampere to Sastamala.

Good news about the Pocket2. I had to look up those places - I only know of Helsinki and Turku
Today I got an update for the firmware of the Action2, so I will have to evaluate it again as soon as possible

Helsinki is the capital of Finland, and Turku used to be one, and they are among the biggest cities in Finland, so no wonder those were the most familiar to you Though Tampere is also one of the biggest and most popular cities in Finland, too.

Thanks for the link Nice to see they do these updates, wouldn't mind if the Pocket 2 would have some too (though it is okay for what it is as of now, and if the firmware update made something worse, then I'd rather keep the earlier working one).

I checked the Pocket2 at the same time, and there's nothing for that.
Irritatingly, it has started reporting "No SD card present" each start-up, even though there is one in.
I have to remove and replace it to get it to work. Might be time for a new card.

I hope that is enough to get it to work again. IT will be cheaper option compared to the cases where the fault is in the Pocket 2 itself.

Got mine back today. The Pocket 2 itself seems to work fine, and what is positive is that the camera seems to fit easier inside even with the anti-fog insert, but alas, the buttons still seem to occasionally misoperate. Not sure if there is anything else to do or if I just have to conclude it is a flawed design. :-(

Good that you got it back, and that it's a better fit. Annoying that there's still some flaws witrh operation.
