Good day DJI Team,

After updating the firmware to 01.00.0450 (aircraft) 01.02.0400 (RC) I noticed the following changes:

1. Response in toggle controls in flight modes C N S are all the same.
2. When I try using Active track the video transmission always gets lost then RTH is engaged unless I cancel it, and the screen freezes.
3. Sometimes controls are unresponsive.

I had to stop therfore I was not able to see if there are other malfunctions because im afraid I might lose the drone.

Hello, there. Sorry for the inconvenience. May we confirm that this issue only occurs when using Active Track function? I mean, even you fly to the same spots manually where the aircraft is going to but the aircraft only lost transmission when Active Track?

Thanks for the reply Wanda,

The response of the control are all the same whether in active track or not.

So far lost video transmission, RTH, and frozen screen  happens when I try to use active track.

And may we know if you updated all your firmware to the latest version already?
Please try to test it again and see if this problem only occurs in Active Track.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Would you please help to export the flight data of the issued flight for us to investigate the details? The data needs to be exported by DJI Assistant 2, you can upload it to Dropbox and send me the link here.

At the same time, if the drone is within 14 days of receiving, you can claim a replacement service at https://www.dji.com/support/repair and send it back, the local team will check it when they receive the package. If it is more than 14 days, you can proceed with the repair process. You can let me know when you start a case, I will keep an eye on the process.

Hey there DJI community!

I only came across this thread today after getting fed up with exactly the same issue...

Multiple locations tested, always the same result - the no transmission error, RTH activated and a frozen screen.

Has anyone had any luck fixing this issue or it's a faulty unit that needs to be replaced?

Flying a mini 3 pro with iOS device and a remote.

Same issue here.  Hopefully there is a fix.  Received the drone 2 days ago and first try with active track this happens.  I opened a replacement case but it says that my 2 day old drone is not eligible.  case is here https://repair.dji.com/mycase/casedetails?CaseNo=CAS-13750587-V6Z3Y0

I found the fix for this issue and it is enabling subject scanning in the menus.  I could not enable this setting unless I traced an object on the screen while drone in flight and brought up the options.  Then I went to the menus and enabled subject tracking and voila!  Active tracking works...  Now I need to figure out why amazon sold me a drone bound to someone else...  And if I care about that it is bound to someone else...   

My serial number is 1581F4XFA2313ML8PG7R.  Activated 22 days ago to someone else!!!!

I had the same issues with brand new mini 3 Pro straight out of the box.  Dji asked me to send it back for replacement which I did and received a new one within a few days. I've only given it a quick test and seems OK so far.

I had the same issue with brand new Mini3pro.  Dji advised me to send it back to them a got a replacement a few days later.  Only tested in my garden but the new one seems fine

Thank you for your update on the tracking issue. For the aircraft, may we know if you purchased it brand new from Amazon? If yes, you may try to contact Amazon for the details and solution. As per the serial number, it was indeed activated on July 13.

(1) Download DJI Assistant 2 from the official website. Download link:https://www.dji.com/mini-3-pro/downloads
(2) Launch DJI Assistant 2. Within 20 seconds after the aircraft is powered on, connect it to DJI Assistant 2.
(3) After DJI Assistant 2 recognizes the aircraft, choose "Log Export", and then click "Save to local".
(4) The final exported data are ".dat" files.

App Log Export
Please reboot the mobile device before exporting the app log.
Android device:
Connect the mobile device that has been connected to the aircraft to the PC, the path is as follows: internal storage/android/data/dji.go.v5/files/LOG (The path of the version before DJI Fly App V1.4.12 is DJI>dji.go.v5>LOG), and then export the data in the "LOG" folder.
iOS device:
Connect the mobile device that has been connected to the aircraft to the PC, open iTunes, and then export all data under the "Logs" folder.
