I read your post about Lightcut, the video editor that is officially recommended by DJI, and I found it to be a very informative and helpful resource. It's great to know that DJI, a leading manufacturer of drones and camera equipment, has recommended this video editor to its users.

Thanks for the link.  Nice that you are the officially recommended video editor.  However, I'm using Davinci Resolve as it is my go to video editor.

An initial look seems OK, only exports up to 1080, some of the AI is a little quirky (it doesn't recognize the heads of animals and ignores them, maybe because the eyes not visible in my trial, but does pick up peoples faces? ).

Connection to drone took 15 to 20 seconds, very quick and simple, getting thumbnails onto the phone to work with was very quick despite having a very large and full SD card in the drone, very minimal delay ~30 seconds.

Templates I haven't had a chance to explore a lot yet, some seem OK.

Im impressed everything worked as smoothly as it did first time. I think I could put out a basic video in 5 minutes with no issue. Definitely not to the standard or level of control of a dedicated editing program, but for an initial upload to FB or similar I think this looks very promising.

PC support would be nice, and not having to have the drone running constantly maybe? (PC via cable as an option?)

Its worth a try people, especially if traveling or wanting something quick and easy.

It wouldn't be bad if DJI also made LightCut available as an apk. Then you could also use LightCut on the RC Pro

Did you find any information about LightCut Inc., I did not.

I only got 404 NOT FOUND errors.

This looks awesome, will try next week! Does it support D-LOG footage from the Mavic 3?

Can’t connect Light Cute to my DJI Mini 3 Pro. I get the message from the picture below: “Failed to connect Wi-Fi”. Any clue?

Complementary informations:
- Aircraft Firmware Version: 01.00.0450
- LightCut Version: 4.57.1
- iPhone 13 Pro Max
- DJI Fly quick transfer works fine to access drone album
- I tried 3 click in the power button to activate QuickTransfer

PS: LightCut release 4.56.0 for iOS say it’s compatible with Mini 3 Pro. But inside the App I miss this information in the compatible drones area. See attached photo.

With LightCut you could export videos in 4k/60fps, please update it to the latest version 4.57.0.
Regarding the AI analyzing issue, could you please share your stuff with the animal heads to lightcutapp@gmail.com to help team to locate it?

Yeah, DJI Gamora pointed that out to me in Post 14.  I'm just surprised there wasn't a DJI news release prior to LightCCut putting it out.  

No problem as I use a better video editor in Davinci Resolve.

Yes it has a lot of nice features.

A bit of a shame that the user agreements forbid using for commercial or third-party uses. Would have made this app more useful.

Haven't tried it out yet, but have downloaded it on my phone and tablet.

And I agree with people saying that a PC version would be nice.

Pity it's not a desktop app, never been inspired to edit something on the run.
