Not as risky as you'd think:
I use the phone connected to the goggles to get their view when I'm flying without spotter. In N- and S-mode it works pretty well. In M not so much: I guess it's the latency. As you know as a whoop pilot you're always doing tiny adjustments on the sticks and if you see the result of that later you overdo them. Still in a more "cinematic" way of flying it worked for me.
When I did the same with the DJI fpv drone more than a year back I crashed as well (seemingly without reason).

Unless you go for small gaps there's not much reason to crash - maybe when flying sideways (or acting really stupid when having the gimbal pointed down like I once did...)

The drone is really showing its battle scars Depp.  And I see the bicycle took a few hits as well.
