Pilot 2 doesn't work with consumer Mavics but the preplanned missions might ... and do after some modification. That's why I am looking or a way to easily convert kmz files out of Pilot 2 to be executable in DJI Fly.
Reading above helps. It describes how to do it, even with video, how to copy and rename the files.

I know the process you described in post #32, but as I have replied in post #33 I can't get DJI Fly to execute the mission the way I had planned in Pilot 2 (with straight lines for example) unless I modify the wpml file.

If you know a way to import a Pilot 2 kmz into DJI Fly AND execute it the way it was planned, I would very much like to know.

I have no experience with the consumer Mavic 3's or how they handle waypoints. Have you tried using a KML instead of a KMZ? They're almost the same file format but KMZs are usually compressed. I've found that KMLs are easier for apps to work with usually. Has DJI went out of their way to make the Mavic 3's waypoints a proprietary file type? KMLs are universally accepted and easy to make/modify. DJI loves to take something simple and then overcomplicate the hell out of it. So I wouldn't be surprised if they went that route here.

Fly app can only do KMZ. I will never buy a DJI again, even though I have been flying it for 10 years.

I feel your pain. I too will be the first person to ditch DJI once a company releases something worth it. That's the reason DJI doesn't care at the moment what their customers say, because they have little to no competition. I've said it several times though they only have 2-3 years before they'll be outright banned from selling in Western countries. I'm pretty sure they realize this too so they're making decisions that'll make them money in the short term. They know their time is running out. The whole Mavic 3 SDK situation is because of this too I believe.

I tried to see how DJI Fly's waypoint creation is done but I guess you have to be connected to a Mavic 3, which I don't own. So I guess they've made it unable to work the other way around either. DJI Enterprise might as well be a totally different brand because there's ZERO cross compatibility with anything. The fact that the Mavic 3 and M3E share the same name is very misleading.

I haven't tried but what version of Android is yours on? That's going to be more important than anything.

Hardware is also important, it seems. I have got it to work (all planning features) on a Oneplus 3 running Android 10 and a Oneplus 7T Pro running Android 11. On a Sony Experia Z4 Tablet everything works except mapping and obligue planning, both on Android 7 (I think) and Android 10.

So you got it to run on Android 11? That's the only one I haven't tested it on. If you look at the AndroidManifest.xml the header states..
<manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:compileSdkVersion="29" android:compileSdkVersionCodename="10" package="com.dji.industry.pilot"

Meaning it was never meant to run on anything higher than Android 10. I get the feeling that DJI is doing something shady here, think about it. Google removed DJI Fly, DJI Mimo and newer versions of DJI Go from the Play Store years ago and there never has been a clear explination as to why. These apps even when downloaded from DJI can't run on newer Pixel phones. Not a single DJI RC, which all run Android, has the Play Store on them. Why would DJI choose to bypass the security measures that Google has when installing apps through them? I'd really like to know.
So to provide some transparency that DJI will never provide, I've decompiled the Pilot 2 APK and posted it for anybody interested in looking through it. There's 14,692 files including every picture, icon, sound effect and decrypted line of code that it takes to make this app run. Maybe someone smarter than me can find something interesting. I understand your feedback on this. At the moment, the thing I can do is to keep forwarding the customer's feedback to the engineers for their further consideration. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Hello Susan, any update on Pilot 2 being officially available from DJI? It's been a month and a half since you forwarded this simple request. In less time than it takes to pop a bag of popcorn, DJI engineers could have this done. This says a lot about how your company thinks about their customers. 14,000 employees and can't find the time to share an APK like y'all used to? In case you don't remember how it used to be let me show you what your website still says to this very day.  "The DJI Pilot app supports the latest DJI enterprise drones." No. There's not a single drone on this list still being produced. Or available to purchase for that matter. In the time it took you to read this post of mine, what I'm suggesting could have already been done. Think about that.

I have added yesterdays release of V7.0.2.2 to the list.
I haven't found a single difference in this new app version. No RC Plus support like the last M300 update got. No added camera parameters that are much needed. No improvements with mission planning. DJI has made the transaction process for purchasing FlightHub 2 credits easier. yay, I can hardly contain my excitment...

Samsung has released 4 different versions of Android for the Tab S6: 9, 10, 11 and 12. Android 9 and Android 10 should run any Pilot 2 version fine. Android 11 may run it fine but Android 12 is just about guaranteed to not work with it. So it will depend on how much you have updated the tablet.
I'm really curious what the guy above means when he said "works as intended when connecting to the Enterprise Remote Controller."

Thank you for clarifying if you can.

Not a chance my friend. DJI Enterprise and DJI consumer drones will never be cross compatible. This is how DJI tries to force us to have to buy multiple drones when one could do it all. Lucky for you, the Air 2S has an SDK so you have more useability than any Mavic 3 owner does. DroneLink will offer you more features than Pilot 2 ever could.

On a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro (SM-T630) it was out of the box running Android 12. I installed Pilot 2 V7.1.0.24 and everything worked perfectly. It then went through a few update cycles and ended up on Android 13. Now the Pilot 2 app has the same issue of not being able to be opened at all. I was surprised Android 12 was able to run it so well but something along the update process broke the app. I don't expect DJI to offer support for this so it's all just a community effort to figure out what the cause is.

I've started a repository of Pilot 2 APK's that includes the one released today. DJI could step up and do it themselves but we all know that will never happen. I don't have an RC Plus to extract the Pilot 2 APK for the M30. If someone can provide it though I'll add it as well. The root folder can be viewed here - DJI Pilot 2 APKs

Tried installing M3 7.1.0.30 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 (Android 10,  I've been using it to run DJI Go with my M2 for about 5 years)
The install starts, then about 70٪ through the cancel button greys out and the install eventually ends with "failed to install".

Runs fine on my Galaxy S10 phone. (edit: Android 12)

That doesn't make much sense. My older LG V30 runs it perfectly and it has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC as your Tab S4. I have it running Android 8.0 but Android 10 should be able to run it even better.

Added Pilot 2 V9.0.0.47 from the RC Pro Enterprise which jumps from V7 straight to V9 while not adding a single thing to anyone outside of China. It adds support for the Dock 2 which only 0.5% of us here will ever even see in person. The M3E may not have white balance, useable video modes or compatibility with the RC Plus or any other request us pilots have made. At least they bring us an early Christmas present that literally nobody asked for or can even use. It's good to know that DJI's priorities are in line with their customers.
