Strange new issue with playback - M210 V2

Hey all,

My M210 V2 has started something quite annoying.

I can no longer press the playback button to view the taken images and video.   If I press it, I can pick the camera, and access the folder, but all the thumbnails look like they are corrupt, and it you open it up it keeps that same corrupt-looking image.

To view the images I have to remove the SD card from the drone, put it into one of the slots on my Crystal sky monitor, and they work fine.

It's pretty frustrating, meaning I have to land and power down just to check I have the images I want!

I've attached a photo of what I'm seeing on the screen, any help would be hugely appreciated.

Hi there, could you please tell us the model of the camera you used? May I ask if all the photos and videos have this issue? Was the drone connecting to the remote controller when you try to check the photos/videos?

Hi Mindy,

Sure, the camera was an X5s, all photos and videos have the same issue.

The drone was connected to the controller whilst checking also.

I was out again with the M210 last week and the same thing was happening

Would you please check and tell us the format of your videos and pictures?
Please re-pair the controller and aircraft to try again.

Hi Wanda,

The formats are images as .jpg, and video as .mp4

I will try and re-pair the controller and aircraft tomorrow and let you know if it works.

Ok, so I tried to repair the drone to the controller, still the same issue.

I also tried changing the camera to an X4s, same result.

I tried to re-format the SD card whilst in the drone, which formatted fine, but still can't view the images or videos once I've taken more.

Any ideas what else I can try?

May we know how many pictures were stored on your SD card before?
Would you please confirm how many pictures stored in the SD card will let this issue reoccur?

It seems any number of files.

When it first happened I was on a job, and had in the region of 200 images, and 12 video files, probably 30GB in total on a 64GB SD card.

WHilst I've been trying different things, it happens if I just have one image or video file on the card.

All firmware is the most up-to-date possible, however, I don't have the exact versions to hand.

I'll update this thread when I next take it out from the stores.

Aircraft - 01.00.0710
Remote - 01.00.0710
App - v2.5.1.15
Gimbal 1 - 01.01.03.00
Gimbal 2 - 01.31.01.865
X5s Camera - 01.07.00.45
XT Camera - 01.115.00.67

I have tried to roll back and reupdate the firmware just now, still having the same issues on both cameras.

Any ideas??

To better locate the cause, could you please try to connect the remote to the DJI Pilot on your phone or tablet to see if the issue also exists? If yes, we recommend you send back the M210 V2 aircraft, remote control, and gimbal for further diagnosis. http://www.dji.com/support

Hi Mindy,

I will try that out to see if it works using my iPad, however, I wouldn't be able to be without the drone for more than a couple of days due to my workload, so sending it anywhere is not a good option for me.

Unless you fancy sending me an M30T to keep me going??
