I did notice the numbers were wrong based on the airports I've landed at.

Im not sure they are,   they are the same numbers as the big airport thats nearby and the two runways are in alignment,    in fact this is on the fligh path for landing at the airport and under an altitude zone,   but the model club has an exception.

Happened to be near by earlier and it was closed for a change.

It’s right for me, I would love to have that for the RC planes I fly with landing gear. The grass I’m using now has a tendency to nose tip after touchdown.

There's a road and gate that leads up to it or you have to squeeze through a gap in the hedges.    As soon as they appeared to see the drone they started to leave.

It seemed that way.   It's a good place to fly as everyone that goes there is used to the club flying all sorts so no one usually bats an eyelid.    Just I dont like to fly there when the club is actually open.

Nice capture, thanks for sharing it. The numbers are typically based on compass heading while approaching the runway.  They would be reciprocal for either end so if the 23 (230 degrees) is correct, the opposite direction should read 05 (50 degrees). Looks as if that set was painted upside down.

The fun thing with this runway is that it's directly on the landing path of the local airport and they have aligned it with that so it has the same degrees painted.
