I have a DJI DIY FPV build with03 Air unit with firmware version: V01.02.0000 V2 goggles with firmware version V01.06.0000 V2  transmitter with firmware version V02.00.0500 These are all bound together.  The problem I have is that I get an error message saying: DJI RC-N1 remote controller firmware version too early.  Function limited. Connect to computer and use DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer drones Series) to update. I already did all this the moment it was unboxed I've had the goggles in 03 mode when pairing, but did the update in the various other modes, trying to find higher firmware versions..
