As inspired by @DAFly's thread about an abstract shot he took and information about ICM here, I thought it seemed like a fun technique and decided to give it a shot myself with my Pocket 2 that had finally arrived from it's foreign trip.

Featuring Lego Speed Champions model 1970 Ferrari 512M.

Took a couple of tries and some adjustments, but I think it worked out pretty ok for what it is.

Pretty cool.

Yes, after some attempts I think I got the illusion of movement there pretty well

And I am happy that the returning/replacement process is over. Luckily, the Pocket 2 indeed has had no problems after the modding operation

Indeed, I did get some separation anxiety from waiting for it to return when it was in delivery. It even ended up showing in my dreams a couple of times

My guess is it goes with the family. My mother's side of the family have long had a fascination for all technical gadgets, and my father has also been strongly involved with them.

Usually, when I find a cool new gadget and get (maybe a bit too much?) excited and talk about it to my mother, she usually rolls her eyes, sighs and says something in the lines of "It's the family genes again..."

That is true, unfortunately. Doesn't help that the machinery is often tested to its limits with all those aggressive accelerations and huge speeds. Yet, I'm still a fan. For instance, Enzo Ferrari's lifestory is very interesting, with many setbacks yet he was able to create one of the biggest automotive legends ever.

Haven't watched it yet, though I have intended to do so. I do believe I know the basics of the story though, knowing something of the circumstances of the real-life events the movie is based upon.

Thanks for the tip, I bear it in my mind. I did have intentions to watch it myself, too. I do like car movies, and seen some with somewhat similar concepts. For instance I think Rush (by Ron Howard) was a very solid movie.

No problem, enjoy the movie. I'll see if I get around to see Ford vs. Ferrari myself (Or Le Mans '66, as it is called in some European regions). I have signed in to a streaming service, I'll see if they have it in their selections.
