How many of you have the part 107 license and would you recommend it for me?

I just obtained mine.  My motivation was primarily so that I could fly on behalf of others and organizations that I support.  For example taking pictures / videos for my HoA or swim club.  I may end up doing commercial work, but the main reason was so that I could help others with my capability.  I also like knowing so much information about flying and all the related topics that are included in the training, although some topics seemed totally unnecessary for what I'll do.  

If you plan on doing any commercial work you need to go ahead and get it.  If you plan to fly strictly recreationally it is not needed.  I went ahead and got mine several years back and learned a lot in the process.
