Kind of like the forum, busy one day and almost dead the next.  I did see where he crashed into the roof of his car.

Ive been getting some brownie points earned (I even cleaned the oven glass door) so that I can take the M3P out this afternoon for some maiden flights.  And I need to earn some good will from SHMBO'd as last night I prepped the wrong dinner by mistake.

That's a hard way to earn brownie points .  Hopefully, whatever meal you prepped worked out okay.  

I'm a spur of the moment guy when it comes to deciding what I want to eat so I rarely prep ahead except when I need to marinate some meat in advance.

I menu plan the week,   usually with three days pre planned Sat/Sun and Sunday soup. then after that I try not to have two days with red meat next to each other,  other than that we usually try to use the fresh produce in date order so that it does go off,   last night we were supposed to be having Hong Kong style sweet and sour pork but I did steak and asparagus instead,   which was wrong as Id made an epic Beef Bourguignon for Monday.

Nice that you are able to vary the menu like that.  I guess since I live alone I'm just not that creative when it comes to meals.  Some meals I'll plan ahead, especially when I need to marinate a steak or prep some lobsters.

There's a tip I saw once about seasoning the steak placing it on s rack and leaving it in there fridge for about 20 hours,  the fridge acts as a dehumidifier and does a dry age effect on the steak.

If you have a vacuum sealer there are special bags you can get to seal the meat for aging for much longer,  although it's not sealed per se.

When I lived ashore I did have a vacuum sealer.  Unfortunately, when I moved on the boat I had to minimize what I could use onboard on a regular basis and get rid of the rest.  However, I've grown accustomed to doing more with less since moving onboard so it has all worked out for the best.

I can imagine,   I bought a new one a few years ago and it's been great as we try to bulk buy items.

It just keeps so much better,   the one I picked up from an auction site was sold by a guy that only used it for books.  And by the looks of the supplies he provides only about 3 books.
