that is a nice upgrade. Hopefully, they make them compatible with the DJI FPV soon.

maybe they will save that for an upcoming v2

Different tools for different tasks.  The Avata’s camera is certainly much better as is how it was robustly built.  However, they are built to fly different types of missions, so not really directly comparable.

Maybe that’s the case…

i have both but haven't yet flown the avata so i still like the fpv because of the speed.  if avata cannot reach the high speeds, what good is it?

or maybe, it's enough.  i guess i will find out next month.

The avata is nice cause it won’t break if u smash it in the ground.

maybe im not flying hard enough but i havent yet hit the ground with my fpv.  is this going to happen much with the avata?

Im a total noob at manual mode and did a backflip while flying low, had a panic attack and it crashed into one of my cars, made a little dent in the roof. After that I sold it. I think fpv flight isn’t for me. Looking to get a mavic 3 Right now.

same here.  i spent the first year flying in sport mode only and i pretty much have it down very good.  will try for the first time manual mode next month after some work on the simulator.  but i understand there will be some crashes i guess.  luckily i still have care refresh.

When you open your post on your smartphone, you can't see the "selection menu"...   
Hence the "confusion"...   

There's really no comparrision to be done between the 2. Avata is a cinewhoop and the FPV is a cinematic speed demon. the FPV is as brittle as very thin ice on a warm day, whjile the Avata is a little tank. I fly both and flown the Avata into a brick wall, saved it and then into a concrete block. Into a metal climbing frame and bounced off numerous trees. All It's got are a few minor scuffs and a change of props. if I had done the same with the FPV, it would have been multiple repairs.

My FPV fell off the roof of my car on a frosty day. I forgot my landing pad, started the motors and it slid off through vibration. Top speed out the FPV so far is 86mph at about 1m off the ground. Zero actual crashed yet and push it hard when I take her out

They don’t if you turn on stabilization.
