Hey guys I am a resident of Switzerland, and super confused if I can fly my drone now (after 31st Dec 2022). Here are my details:
  • I have a drone under (250gm) with a camera (DJI Mini 2).
  • I understand that it is in C0 class, but I do not have a label. Do I need it? Can I label the drone myself?
  • I am a resident of Switzerland (B permit) and have registered at the UAS website. I am trying to take the exam too, but since it is not in English, it is pretty difficult for me.
  • If I understand correctly, after registration and identity confirmation, I should get an operator ID (Fernpiloten-ID- and UAS-Betreibernummer); but i do not have them on my dashboard. How do I get it?

Can I fly my drone (of course in allowed areas and under 120m) with the current status? Do i need to do something else?
I would be really grateful for any help from anyone here.

Hi Yagami, no problem, you can fly with your Mini 2 in Switzerland without any problem in 2023, of course respecting the flight zones. I flew with my drones 1 month ago on Lake Léman, I took off (if you know) near MORGES. You can take the Drone-Spot application which works very well for flight zones.
Good flight.

HI All,

I am planning to visit Switzerland in 2024 Summer

You need to register with an EASA country - one registration covers all. You have to register in the first country you are going to fly. I registered a few days ago in France (didn't cost anything). I will fly in France later in the year when I visit and then am good for most European countries. No need for insurance to register but you would be advised to have insurance in case of a claim - I have third party cover included on my travel insurance.
