Hi!

I am figuring out if it is possible to lock the gimbal of the DJI Avata at a certain angle. I can’t seem to find it in the settings, Youtube or Google. Has to be pretty simple right?

Can anyone help me with this if this is possible? If not, DJI could you add this option to lock the gimbal in a firmware update? Thanks!

Do you mean without using the remote switch ?A config parameter into the Goggles screen ?

If it's the case then it is not available IMHO

I mean to have the gimbal angle fixed the entire time of a flight. Just like a mounted camera on a selfmade fpv drone

Hi, Coen. Thanks for reaching out. Please note that the DJI Avata's gimbal mode will be automatically switched according to the flight mode. When in Normal or Sport mode, the gimbal is in altitude stabilization mode. The tilt angle of the gimbal remains stable relative to the horizontal plane. When in Manual mode, it is in lock mode. The tilt angle of the gimbal remains stable relative to the drone body. There is currently no option to manually lock the gimbal. We apologize for the inconvenience. We will have your suggestion recorded and forwarded to the designated team. Please reach us back here should you have further concerns. Have a nice day.

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee lock the gimbal, is really irritating to be filming something and the camera starts to move by itself. So you have the change the angle all the time.

Thank you

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. There is no option to lock the gimbal of the DJI Avata manually. Please refer to the statement of DJI Tony above for more information on how the gimbal works depending on the flight mode that you are using. Feel free to contact us if you have other inquiries.
