Yes I did. Just the afternoon.
I checked our electrical installation (never did that so far) since we will do a major upgrade this fall.
The gig will be next Sunday

When I lived on land in a very 50 year old house I wanted to upgrade the circuit breaker to 250 Amp capacity.  I had 2 Electricians come out and they gave quotes that required me to upgrade the wiring throughout the house as well. Was a very expensive endeavor, but well worth the money in the long run, especially not having to worry about the old wire overheating and causing a fire.  

Hope your upgrade will not be to cost prohibitive.

Well, TBH, that was the reason for getting him here.
Our neighbors just had their house burnt down (or at least severely damaged) by a fire.
It's right across our house, so we witnessed all of it.
In fact, our driveway was the temp hc for the police and firefighters.
So we want to make sure we do all we can to prevent this.

I was not knowledgeable about house wiring which is why I hired the certified electrician to assess what needed to be done and then do the work.  House fires are no joke.

Same here. And with the new power demands that come with electrical heating, charging cars etc. etc. our old switchbox is way too small.
So we have to think ahead and make plans for that now

Always a good thing to plan ahead and upgrade where needed.  I'm betting your studio equipment probably uses a good bit of electricity so an upgrade may help you a bit there also.

No doubt then this is a great time for proper planning since access later would be an issue.  I just wish electrical work wasn't so expensive for homes.  

I have my annual Coast Guard inspection coming up on my boat in April so I have to go around and conduct my own pre-inspection to make sure I have no discrepancies when they visit.  They do conduct a very thorough inspection and I for one appreciate it as I know my boat is safe each time I pass.
