It's obviously from the image metadata of a still image.

Yes, but 2.8!

Everything from about 2m out will be in focus and f2.8 allows the most amount of light in. It's perfect.

What program or app are you using that shows this value of 2.4?
Have you tried looking at the EXIF in other programs?
Does it show 2.4 on all photos?
Has it always been showing 2.4?

Directly from fly app, Lightroom, mobile phone, all are 2.4 from day 1

I was talking for pictures but i guess it's the same for videos?

Hmm, very strange… I checked the photos from my friend's Air 2S and they all show f2.8 which is right.

Maybe DJI changed something later in their cameras that actually affected the aperture?
We will only know for sure if DJI replies.
