Is anyone here is using a Google Pixel 7 (normal or Pro) with Dji fly & Mini 2?  I am planning to upgrade from Samsung S20 to Pixel 7 and was wondering if there would be any issues.

Thank you for your inquiry. Pixel 7 & 7 Pro have not been tested by our engineers for the DJI Fly app. DJI will publish the compatible devices that have passed official tests on the Compatibility List on its official website. However, due to the numerous mobile device models available that are subject to software and hardware updates, the DJI engineers are unable to test all devices. In theory, a device that meets system requirements can be used even if it is not in the Compatibility List, but its stabilization has not been verified. We recommend that you go to the nearest outlet in your location to test first the device. Thank you for your understanding.

I have a Pixel 7 Pro and it does not work on my DJI Mini 2. I can't believe it! I can connect and fly but cannot see any images - which make the whole exercise pointless and dangerous.

DJI need to get their act together on the Pixel phone compatibility issues. They have been around for over a year now and they are a popular phone. Very disappointing.

Hello there. I'm sorry about the trouble. From your phone does it show a completely black screen or is it just the camera view missing and you are able to see the OSD?

It's strange it doesn't work as Pixel phones don't they use a clean version of the Android Operating System?  There is no GUI like Samsung does.

Pixel 7 Pro with Mini 2 here.

Worked with Android 13 no problem.

Updated to Android 14 and Fly app wouldn't run.

Updated Fly app to 1.12.0 and Fly app runa again no problem.

Hadn't had a test flight since updating Android, so tested this afternoon...

All good with Pixel 7 Pro, Android 14, Fly app 1.12.0 and last but one aircraft firmware v1.06.0200  (haven't updated that due to reported range issues after uodate.).

Hello, djiuser_lGvYcTSNnuY1. Thank you for reaching out. It has been confirmed that your mobile device Google Pixel series is not currently compatible with Go 4 app. It can be preliminarily determined that the issue is caused by a compatibility error. Since there are many device models awaiting testing, this issue cannot be resolved in the short term. If you have an urgent flight mission, it is recommended that you use the app with one of the supported mobile device models listed on the DJI official website in order to avoid a flight mission failure. We will have the engineers to work on this as well. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Funktioniert nicht. Wenn Du Android 14 hast. Für eine DJI würde ich dir ein IPhone empfehlen. Alles andere ist ein Glücksspiel.

The DJI app for my Mini 2 used to work just great with my Pixel 7 Pro until the last phone OS update a few months ago to Android 14, Build AP2A.240905.003. Then, the DJI app failed, like everyone else is experiencing. Today, just to try and figure out the difference between OS versions on the 8 Pro vs the 7 Pro, I went into "Settings" on my 7 Pro, "About Phone," then "Android Version," then clicked on "Google Play System Update." Imagine my surprise when my 7 Pro instantly did a quick little update, then had me reboot the phone. I was then able to download and successfully install DJI app version 1.13.0, which now seems to be working fine! I am hesitant to try and update it to v1.14.2, but since I do have a copy of the older version, I may give it a try - after I get some use out of my Mini 2 again!

If to make the point.

It's now October 2024 and those issues still exist.

I bought a Mini 4K to replace my lost 2K drone and had no reason to think I would have issues.

My 2K worked fine with my Google Pixel 7 back in August until I lost it.

I bought the 4K and since day one of getting it, it will not pair with the drone, via the newer controller and my phone.

This is kind of ridiculous, especially when you consider that in that same time, the DJI Neo has been released, and works with EVERY controller.

So why can't they make the Mini 4K work with the RC2 and remove the need for a phone?
