Yes,   as everything had to be justified,   and getting quotes leads to a lot of sales follow ups.

Absolutely. For instance, I shudder the thought of buying a phone that has a Facebook app that you can't even uninstall. Infuriating to think about the used space robbed from users and the force-feeding of that social media trash

Once I got my smartphone activated the first App I uninstalled was Facebook.  I've never used it but it is reported to use a lot of battery and it is also a resource hog (memory).  I'm not big into social media.

Same here, but those USB sticks are usually backup, where my SD cards contain stuff from the camera (which, at that time, is not backed up yet)

Oh I definitely understand about the SD cards.  Since I've had a few issues in the past I've tried to make it routine to back up the SD cards immediately after use.  Better safe than sorry I say.

No doubt the sales follow ups were plentiful.  I always felt sorry for salesmen trying to earn a living pitching products and then doing follow ups and then having the boss question why their sales numbes are down.  

I gotta say that car salesmen are without a doubt the pushiest bunch of all.

Yes, and to top all of that, many functions it does sound like borderline spyware properties.

I am not a big fan of social media either, with a couple of exceptions. I do have an YT account and a profile in LinkedIn (though I have updated it very lazily )

Yes. they can be pretty bad,   but Ive found you just tell them youve got an offer from another dealership that they cant get anywhere close and they give up at that point.

Some of the permissions that the bloatware Apps require just amazes me.  Just another way for the developer to accumulate analytics.

I pulled that once but the salesman said bring in the written quote from the other dealer and I'll beat it by 5%.  I told him no, you had your chance to make a sale and you blew it.
