Hello...my first post.  I have a newly purchased Mini 3 Pro (DJI RC).  I have a micro sd card in my aircraft, is there a benefit to putting a card in the remote control?  TIA, John

Hello, there. Thanks for your interest. The reasons for mounting a microSD card into DJI RC is listed as below:
1. It is for caching videos (the current firmware version does not support photo caching).
「SD_Card > Android > data > dji.go.v5 > files > MediaCaches」
(Note: Videos cannot be cached if a microSD card is not mounted. Meanwhile, you can only preview low-definition files after tapping the Playback icon on the screen of DJI RC when the aircraft is powered on. If the aircraft is powered off, no files can be viewed through the remote controller, because the files are transmitted from the aircraft in real time.)
2. It is for screen capture and recording.

In addition to what Wanda provided if you forget to put an SD card back into your drone you can pull the one out of the RC and use it for the drone.  Always nice to have a spare SD card in case of an emergency.
