As an Avata owner I received an email about the "DJI Motion Controller Upgrade Service".  The email was kind of vague.  Can someone point me to the link that explains what this upgrade service is?  Thanks in advance!

it's not that difficult....

you can use the coupon code you received to buy the controller 2 at a discount.The coupon is added to your dji account, you can use it at check out in the DJI store.

so you will have 2 motion controllers.........

i already contacted dji if they can do a trade in or swap.

Buying the 2nd version of the motion controller is not necessary. Nothing wrong with the MC1 so this version may just flop unless it has something more special to it.

Also you can change the camera settings now using the motion controller.  

I did see that you can "reverse, strafe right or left, and more." not possible with the MC1, but is with the RC2 if you have one.
Unless DJI does a trade in and gets that price down to 100 USD, I won't be biting.

Neither will I.  The disappointing thing is for those of us that were early adopters should be able to do a trade in upgrade.  Quite disappointing.

They only offered me $1.25 discount on the new controller. Some people said they were offered a lot more ($90.00 off). What did you get?

my discount is 70 euros,
price of the MC2 is 179 euro's (so 109 euro's for me)
(mc1 is 149 euros)

but i am not going to buy one....
the MC1 will be hard to sell, so i will be stuck with that old one.

Even when the mc2 was not released, the mc1 was almost impossible to sell in the netherlands or belgium.... nobody wants it.

i contacted dji, and they dont offer trade-in offers any more since december 2021 (they cancelled the whole trade-in program) and have no information if this will ever return.

I think i would even trade in my goggles 2 for the integra version.... i don't need the wifi, bluetooth or diopter adjustment .... but i love the battery and for the future, gps!

Bad thing about the new Integra goggles is the one battery.  So after 2 hours your done flying until you can recharge them?

I think it says you can plug in a charger and keep using them. So I don’t know maybe you can plug in the standard goggles battery or power bank.  It doesn’t  have the barrel connector so it's only usb c.

I never got an upgrade/replacement coupon. I’m just barely out of the return window and would have waited to purchase the new combo. May be my first/last Dji product.

Got the coupon, plus I had 30 in dji credit. I enjoy the MC1 more than the RC2, so getting the MC2 is a must for me.

I got the $90.00 coupon and ordered one.  Already on its way.  Also, ordered the Integra goggles.  The no hanging wires is apealing to me.

I ordered the Motion Controller but not the goggles.  The goggles don't offer any more than the Goggles 2 so I couldn't justify the cost.

But that is the reason DJI should:
a) trade
b) give higher discount to compensate this loss (or better compensate the loss)

I sold RC2 when they were out of stock everywhere and got top dollar.
I only use MC so the new features are gonna be nice.

Prices here in the netherlands are dropping for the MC1.... there are now a couple of sellers asking as low as 60 euros for this thing.

so the loss is getting even bigger if you want to upgrade (even if you use the discount you get from DJI).

at this point, mc1 is the only mc compatible with the dji fpv.

I fully agree - looking at value drop of MC1 (as it was already pretty low...) now it's just a paperweight - do a trade-in program, so we can get rid if that old one and use more reasonable one (ver.2)
It really hutr to be betatester and a $@#$ that was forced to buy set with MC1... then buy extra normal controller at horendous price, and now we got "offer" for buying another one at discount.. CMON!
it should be: trade old for new one free of charge for users who was forced to buy it :/

Yes, but there are very few people flying the FPV drone with the motion controller.... (or at least so it seems)
