Thank you for the coupon as "DJI Motion Controller Upgrade Service Exclusive for DJI Avata Users". I've got it via email. But tell me why I got this with 898 others' emails in the "TO" field, why did you not use the "BCC" field?

Unfortunately these are things that happen, in my country it was the software of a national institution which had a flaw and which did exactly the same thing.

Bad luck for us, a godsend for spammers!

fortunately, I use a different email for services like DJI account. But in my opinion, it shouldn't happen.

Indeed, a GDPR issue. I am sure this will have repercussions.

Yes I also use a different address for mystical stuff like DJI where you have no choice but to give an email address.  

We'll probably get an apology email.  

But the list is probably already for sale on the DeepWeb.

I have noticed it as well, when receiving the email. I believe it is one email per language with all CCed. So you know all 900 english speaking Avata users and I the German speaking.

I'm curious if it's one issue or if they sent many parts of that information. In mine, the first email start with cgom*** , And yours?

Mine starts with a "dominik" and contains 901 emails in total. Please note that my email has the info in German. I guess that is the explanation why you and I have different lists.

And what else do you think will happen?  the mistake is made.  They will do what is necessary to stop doing it and then that's it.

No doubt the spammers will love DJI for this email mess up.

I would like to know, how can You "fix" such issue.
I would suggest report this case to GDPR lawyer - they do love such cases and soon a nice compensation can be made. Yes, we are not USA with they lovely $$$$ compensation, but still.
I think a new AVATA pro-view set for each affected customers would be a valid option. still better then way bigger fine which is possible with class action as there are hundrets of affected ppl and You already have a way to contect them all

When a company is taxed in one way or another, the customer pays the bill.  

And to be compensated, you must have suffered damage.  In my country it works that way.  

In this case, only your email address has leaked.  Apart from spamming you, there is not much you can do with it.

An email address is not sensitive personal information.

They know your email address. OK.

But they also know:

• That email is registered with DJI
• User has an Avata Pro-View or Fly Smart pack
• User is wealthy enough to purchase these packs
• User has a discount coupon for RC Motion 2
  

And here lies the problem. Phising paradise.
This has been a BIG mistake for a large company like DJI, and I'm expecting some kind of formal apology or compensation.
