I've seen that happen here also.  If they fail to exercise their right to vote then they have no business complaining if their candidate doesn't get elected.

We have a local election here this month so it will be interesting to see if they actually come out this time.

Kind of a mixed bag here on turnouts.  Federal elections tend to draw out more voters than local elections.
