Hi

Just expirenced a wierd problem when shooting DNG (RAW) images on my DJI Mini Pro 3.

I have tried formatting the SD card, and swapping it for a new one, same issue.

The JPG images is fine, only the DNG are displaying these horisontal lines.

Anybody has a clue about whats wrong?

Hello, there. Sorry for the inconvenience. May we know did you check the picture on different software? If so, please change a new SD card and shoot a new DNG picture. Then, do not open it and send it to us for further verify the issue. Thanks in advance.

Okay this is weird.. and getting weirder... can you please confirm that you see the lines on any of the DNG I shared with you?

Just looked at an older foto, taken from the drone, and it has the same lines.

Ok.. so did a little testing myself on the images.

If I open the DNG file on a macOS Catalina it is fine, but if I open the same image on another Mac running macOS Ventura (13.3), I get the striped issue.

See picture below.

This is definitely a macOS related problem, og not DJI related in any way.
If I convert the DNG image with Adobe Digital Negative Converter, and use a profile of Camera Raw 4.6 or an older version, the images is fixed.
If I use a newer Camera Raw profile, the problem is the same.

After converting I can now edit them in Pixelmator Pro without any artifacts (or stripes).

So the problem relates to an issue in macOS Ventura 13.3, or another DNG componet within the operating system.

We have reported this issue to the relevant team, this issue occurs when previewing DNG/RAW format photos, after updating the MacOS/iOS system version. Our Engineers are actively communicating with Apple team to seek for a solution. Well. it is an Apple issue, so they will need to get it sorted.

It is not related to DJI, or DJI firmware updates.. my first pictures from the drone has the same issue.

I have exact same problem with .DNG files from DJI drone and the files also appear broken after import to Final Cut Pro. (Ventura 13.3.1)
Is there any easy fix for this already or do I need to convert everything? Any updates cooming?

Hi, there. After analysis, DJI engineers preliminarily concluded that the gain map of DNG footage affects the preview on Mac or iPhone after the system version of MacOS or iOS is updated. DNG specification is released by Adobe. To comply with relevant specifications and guarantee the image effect, gain map cannot be canceled temporarily. We recommend that you view the footage in Photoshop. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please rest assured. We will keep working with Apple Inc. to figure out a solution. Currently, we recommend viewing or editing the original footage with Photoshop or Lightroom as a temporary solution.

It occurs when previewing DNG photos after the macOS/iOS system version has been updated. The DJI engineers are actively communicating with Apple Inc. to seek a solution. The issue has been fixed in Ventura 13.4 just released.
