Hopefully, you have a window to look out of to enjoy the great day outside since you can't actually work outside.  At one duty station which I'm not allowed to name we had zero windows to look out of and actually were many stories underground.  So we never knew what the weather was like until the end of the workshift.

If I'm at the office, there is plenty of windows in the places where I usually work.
The only place without them is at home.
It's a former garage that I converted to a home office / home studio / small warehouse for stuff
I still have to convert the swinging doors to something with a window, but other things get priority

Sounds like you may have a long "to do' list.  Nice that you were able to convert the garage into a home office/home studio.  Gives you a dedicated location to jam out.

It's interesting how some saying cross languages well and make sense and then others make no sense at all.  I used to run across that a lot in all my world travels.  I've been to 64 different countries and would like to add a few more to it.

Absolutely.
I'm not very good at languages, but there are some very interesting aspects about them.
And yes, I would love to see more of the world for sure.

I can tell you with certainty that had I not been in the Navy I would not have been able to do all that extensive traveling.  No doubt the Navy's old slogan of It's Not Just A Job, It's An Adventure turned out super true for me.  Of course, volunteering for assignments that nobody else wanted helped me see lots of different countries as well.  There are only 2 or 3 countries that I have no desire to ever see again.

We don't have that big of a navy. And I'm not sure if I would want to spend so much time away from home.
But there are benefits for sure.

Fortunately, I was single for the first 6 years in the Navy so I had nothing holding me back from travel.  Later, the Kids wanted to travel so I had 3 tours in overseas countries and we traveled extensive during those tours.

Yes, that is the most easy way indeed (while still single)
We have our list of countries we want to visit, but not at this moment.

Yeah, much easier to travel while single.  However, I will admit I had many fun travel outings with the family and they kept me looking for things at each location that was unique to that locale or country.  It was kind of a game for them I suppose.  They did love to travel and still do.  Nowadays they prefer to take cruises.

That is true.
But it is also like hanging a sausage in front of a dog (so we say in Dutch) and if you keep expecting something to improve it is a constant battle to get to that point.
