This is a copy of an email that I sent to the FAA about airspace restrictions.


I work for the Washington Court House Police Department in Fayette County, Ohio and fly our FAA Licensed drones for Law Enforcement incidents.

The old jail was located at 113 E. Market St. Washington Court House, Ohio 43160. 39.53678476655733, -83.44021770878116

The jail was demolished almost 2 years ago in 2021. That area is still designated as a rescricted zone and labeled as a jail.

The new Fayette County Jail is now located at 1500 Robinson Rd. Washington Court House, Ohio 43160 and has no restriction over airspace. 39.528889856143124, -83.4091653305412

How can the location of the restricted airspace be switched be switched?


The app will sometimes give me a different notifcation and make me acknowledge it prior to continuing. I can't capture that notification at the moment due to storms in the area.

My quesiton is who designates this to show on the DJI Fly app and how to I get the location changed????

FAA is not responsible for DJI fly safe zone.

Write to flysafe@dji.com to request area removal/change.

FAA seems to blow off anyone who questions their systems.  I asked why the B4UFLY app did not show restrictions over airport glide paths at ends of runways at un-controlled airports.   And if you look at the B4UFLY app, there are no restricted areas over any jail, prison or critical nesting zones in Florida,,,,poor performance for that agency
