No doubt.  You just have to get out on the really nice days.  Maybe as the weather improves you will re-commence the Dawn Patrols.

I awoke at 06h00 this morning to a lovely sky. But by the time I'd dressed and prepared the drones, the clouds have rolled in

Wow, that was quite the rapid transition in such a short period of time.  Oh well, maybe next time the weather will cooperate better.

I was quite amazed as there was no wind at ground level.  But living in a valley, as we do, the portion of visible sky is far less than if we were out on an open plain.

Alas, sometimes living in a valley does have its advantages.  

I had a very good day at physical therapy so I'm motivated to inspect and clean up my scuba gear this weekend in hopes that I get the green light in 13 days.  Now that I'm near the end it doesn't seem like it has been that long until I look how far back the ATV accident was.

Sounds like you're making excellent progress. But recovery certainly has been protracted. We senior citizens don't heal as quickly as we did as youngsters.

You're absolutely right about not healing as quickly.  Nothing we can do about that but just enjoy life as much as possible each day.  When I wake up in the morning and look out the porthole I just keep telling myself "Just another day in paradise".

Yep. Another one today, too. Got a walk down the towpath to Marple, but the locks were not in action

I think that you got the shot at pretty much an optimal time, they look quite humane now. Were they longer, they could have turned out creepy.

I only saw two boats cruising. The season is not at its peak yet. And the top lock was actually locked with a padlock, which is strange .  Maybe not yet re-opened after the winter dredging.
